"Allu" Award For Padmanabham

Famous comedian late Allu Ramalingaiah as a comedian has enthralled the audience for many decades. He has served the cine industry in many ways. An annual award has been instituted in his memory. This is the sixth national level award instituted in his memory. This year's 'Allu Ramalingaiah Memorial Award-2009' has been presnted to famou comedian Basavaraju Padmanabham in a grand function at Hyderabad. Allu's son producer Allu Arvind presented Padmanabham with swarnakankanam as part of the award, while young heroes Bunny and Ramcharan felicitated Padmanabham with floral kireetam. Senior most actor Gummadi presented the memento. Accepting the award, Padmanabham thanked the Alluramaligaiah Kalapeetham for the honour bestowed on him
