Charmi's Yen For Item Songs

Suddenly charming girl Charmi is facing drop in movie offers. To regain her position Charmi is trying different lines. Talk is going on that as a part of it, she did an item song in recently released Srikanth starrer and Krishnavamsi directed movie "Mahathma". But Charmi says that she did the item number because of affection she has towards director Krishnavamsi. Moreover she says " I take it as a credit for me to have done an item song.....since item songs only click with the audience when they are performed by the suitable persons. The revenue collections will also soar. Audience will be drawn to the theaters only to watch them." However, some people feel that the item number in Mahathma may not be a plus point for her.
